While we were in Balata culteral center we were invited to hear a class of children sing a traditional Palastinian song, simply called 'country'....led by a professional oud player....The melody uses quarter tones and cannot therefore be properly played on 'western' instruments!.....to hear this song click on the link below, which can be played on windows media player....this file is 35mb so may take a while to load!
