Steve recently (July 2007), travelled to the Middle East to work as a volunteer for an NGO called 'Children of Amal'. This is a project that uses music to help children 6-12 yrs old to better handle their emotions. All of the selected children have PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). Steve worked with this charity for 2 weeks within the city of Nablus in the West Bank, 2nd oldest city in the world, in a refugee camp called Balata camp-also recognised as the most densly populated area on earth! This is a photo journal of my journey in chronological order....and the first is of Paddington railway station, London....then Tate Modern...then Jerusalem...weekdays were in Nablus and weekends in Jerusalem...also a few pics of 'the wall' in Bethlehem...walls never really work do they?....If you would like to comment or ask any questions about these pictures I will be glad to hear from you...email; info@nelsonvillage.com , also, if you would like to contribute to this excellent work you can contact the charity organiser, Sheena Boyle at; sheenaboyle@yahoo.com .
